“ A Magical Place in Valladolid Upon arrival the reception was very attentive, the very smiling waitress gave us some recommendations of what to drink and eat, we chose some enchiladas and salbutes that were very delicious, the surprise of some courtesy tequilas and the way she gave us the explanation of how it is done was even more amazing, without a doubt we would return, a very beautiful place but the waitress was exceptional. Thank you very much for this beautiful experience. ”
“ Delicious traditional food from the Yucatan region. This is an absolute must visit for the culinary experience. Every traditional dish that you are looking to experience, is on the menu. The restaurant has a very relaxed, villa vibe with a small shopping store inside. Our server was Alberto. He was great in helping us pick a dish and telling us a bit more about the dish. Loved the service! Staff speak both English and Spanish. They accept both card and cash. ”
“ The food was really good and Rufino, the waiter, was really friendly. Carlos, who made our drinks, mixes very tasty cocktails that he invents themselves. I have never ordered so many cocktails in a row! Would definitely come back here! ”
“ Amazing food , every dish was very good, you have to try it when in here ”
“ First restaurant we tried in Valladolid, and it met and exceeded all our expectations. The food was delicious. I had the soup of the day, a mix of chicken, pork and cheese with nachos, an absolute dream. The drinks were delicious, mainly the Chaya drink. Mind you, they don't serve any alcohol. Prices were pretty decent. We paid about 700 pesos for 4 people. ”
“ If you come to Valladolid, you'd be crazy not to try La Palapita de los Tamales. Karina was our server and she was very patient with our lack of spanish language skills. She made excellent suggestions on the menu choices. The tamales were HUGE, and muy delicioso. Carlos the barkeep made us some very tasty cocktails and he must have known that I was a big tequila fan and gave me a shot of one I've never tried before - FOR FREE. They gave my wife sample of one of their passion fruit cocktails - also gratis. The flan was delicious and came surrounded by pineapple bits. So that's drinks, an entree, and dessert...and the total bill was about 32 USD for 2 people. We highly recommend this place. We're going back for breakfast tomorrow. ”
“ We went into this place walking around it looked nice and clean had not big expectations. Prices where fair, and staff very nice. Tried a little bit of everything but our favorite was the regional lime soup and hot chocolate with a spoonful of honey & cacao beans it blew our mind! Definitely a must go to when you visit this nice artesanal town. ”
“ We stumbled upon this place a few blocks north of the Centro late on a Friday afternoon and loved it. They serve breakfast (8 Am), lunch and dinner. Louder near the street, but quieter in back. Carlos offered us each a Puerta Negra tequila shot on the house. I don’t drink straight tequila, so I received a small sample of passion fruit margarita. Carina recommended 2 different types of tamales. Both were wrapped in banana leaves, large and delicious! We had 2 waters, 2 cocktails, 2 tamales and 1 flan for under 40 US including tip. We’re going back before we leave. Two thumbs up! ”
